A successful bid is considered to be a legal binding contract
DEPOSITS: $400.00 deposit is required at the time of a successful bid -- Money Order, Credit card or debit card.
Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE or NON-TRANSERABLE.
REMAINING BALANCES: Final balances must be paid with certified funds (payable to Greater Detroit Auto Auction) this includes Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, Bank Wire or Debit Card (with a 3% fee).
NO CASH, NO personal checks or NO credit cards will be accepted for final payment. Any vehicle not paid in full within two business days will be subject to forfeiture of any deposit and/or payment. Lay-away program is available . Please inquire at front office regarding this program. Any vehicle not paid for in 2 business days will be subject to forfeiture of any deposits. Late payments will include a $50 late fee.

ADDITIONAL FEES: State of Michigan fees are collected which include 6 % State tax, $15.00 title fee, new plate fee and/ or transfer fee. Document fee of $75.00 will be added to all transactions. Non-Michigan customers will be charged a $35.00 “In-transit” Fee. Title and Sales tax will differ depending on State of residency. Non-Michigan customers who lose their title that is issued to them and require GDAA to apply for a new title will be assessed a $200 lost title fee.
LICENSE PLATES: The State of Michigan requires a Certificate of Insurance for all new license plates. The license plate fee includes the Temporary tag. License plates can be transferred to new purchase if registration is in buyer’s name, plate is not expired and the metal plate is present at time of final payment.
STORAGE: Any vehicles on GDAA’s lot after two business days after final payment, will be charged $15.00 per day storage. (Layaway vehicles do not apply)
